What we did today… JAN 27th, 2010
Posted by tiffanystanka on January 27, 2010
So, tonight at 10pm we will be going to the hospital to be induced. We are super excited to see our baby boy! He will be 39 weeks old tomorrow and is more than ready to say hello to the world.
Today Jon took off work so we could do last minute things around the house. We spent time with Allie and Norman at the dog park since they will be bored the next couple of days. After the dog park Jon gave them baths and we were off to Jason’s deli for lunch. We also had to run by target for a couple of crucial things I needed…. (a blue t-shirt
After all that we decided to relax and see one more movie. We chose Book of Eli.
I am going to try to take a little nap and eat dinner and then off to the hospital for fun

Another Wonderful Baby Shower for Wyatt
Posted by tiffanystanka on January 27, 2010
All the wonderful nurses that I work with at Memorial Hermann had a baby shower for Wyatt. These girls are more than just people I work with.. They are my friends and I am very blessed to have them in my life. I had a wonderful time hanging with the girls, chatting, and playing shower games.
Tara came up with this game that you have to open the diaper and figure out what kind of chocolate is in the diaper. It was challenging and fun! Everyone was smelling the diapers and we were at a Mexican food restaurant. At one point the waiter came over and seemed a bit grossed out by our game.. It was too funny!
Thank you girls for throwing this for me and Wyatt. We love yall!
It was also Wendy’s birthday… She hates birthdays more than I hate beets… and that is A LOT!! She was so embarrassed when the waiter brought out a cake and everyone started singing Happy Birthday. She ended up trying to “get away” from all the attention and went under the table until we were done singing. She is a hoot and we love her! I have never seen her get soooo red… She was embarrassed and probably a bit pissed too ;0
Here are some pics of our wonderful girls night:

Bridesmaid Dresses
Posted by tiffanystanka on January 24, 2010
Last night we all went to Sugarland to get bridesmaid dresses and spend some fun time together. David’s Bridal did not impress us and since Kelli was planning on doing black dresses we all headed to White House Black Market and found these beautiful cocktail dresses. They looked great on everyone
We got to see Kelli try on her beautiful wedding dress (I will not post because I don’t want Daniel to see).
After getting our dresses it was time for dinner and fun. Escalante’s was the restaurant that Kel choose and everyone loved it!!
The night was lots of fun with family and friends! Daniel and Kelli are getting married July 10th and I am so very happy for them.

A Special Project with Granny
Posted by tiffanystanka on January 22, 2010
Jon’s wonderful Granny helped me make a blanket for Wyatt. She did most of the work (cut out fabric, put soft stuff inside and stitched the edges. Then it was my turn and Granny showed me how to do some embroidery. (I think that is what I did
) I am not very good at this kind of stuff so it was a fun challenge and actually very relaxing to do. Granny picked this particular blanket shape because it is a great newborn blanket….. it has a cut out for their heads and fits right on the shoulders. It was so very sweet of her to take the extra time to do this and teach me about sewing. She is such a special person in my life and I feel so blessed to have her as another Granny.
Granny has offered to watch Wyatt once he is born and I can just imagine Granny singing beautiful songs to him all day. She is truly a breath of fresh air and I think it will be awesome that Wyatt will be able to spend some time with his Great Grandma. Not all that many little ones can say their Great Grandparents helped watch them when they were little

Dog Love!
Posted by tiffanystanka on January 22, 2010
I was looking at some pics from this Thanksgiving… I was 30 weeks along. We went to my parents house, ate, chilled, played the Wii, and shot guns. Jon took some sweet pics of Allie and me. She is so loyal and our sweetheart. She does not know the meaning of “personal space” but we love her so much. I am hoping that Wyatt will love Allie and Norman as much as we do!

The new Peanut Shell Sling
Posted by tiffanystanka on January 20, 2010
Just bought a sling with the left over $ from my gift card. It looks really cool but I can’t figure it out… The directions are not all that great so I will just wait until Wyatt gets here and try to figure it out
It has 5 different positions to put the baby in the sling so hopefully it will come in handy!

Getting Ready
Posted by tiffanystanka on January 20, 2010
Jon and I loaded the carseat, diaper bag, and our suitcase into the FJ this past Sunday. WE are all ready
It was so funny b/c we had a little trouble putting in the base of the carseat.. Things were not fitting how they were suppose to…. We figured it out though.. We had it in backwards.. Rookies…
Jon did a great job!!
